THE WHIRLWIND OF THE LORD

TEXT Jeremiah 30:23
“Behold, the whirlwind of the lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of wicked”.

DEFINITION
The whirlwind is a swift circling current of air in a funnel-shaped column. It can be very powerful and dangerous –destroying properties, carrying dust into people’s eyes and sometimes sweeping/carrying them off their feet.
The English proverb “sow the wind, reap the whirlwind” means “do wrong, and as a result, bring severe punishment upon yourself”

CONTEXT
When the people of God are reconciled to Him, He will commence measures to take them back to the Promised Land. Now, the people are God’s people, and He is their God. Therefore, his anger shall burst forth upon their wicked enemies. It will be like a storm of whirlwind. It will be very fierce and shall rage violently against the wicked. It will not stop until it has finished God’s plans.

RELEVANCE
The whirlwind of the Lord as a weapon of warfare has several uses.
1. It can be used to overthrow spiritual wickedness in high places. Just as the physical whirlwind sweeps objects in its way, the whirlwind of the Lord shall sweep away all of them.
2. The whirlwind of the Lord can be used to fight all human agents of wickedness. These include witches, wizards and demon incarnates. The whirlwind can also be used to scatter their meetings and to carry them to dry places.
3. The whirlwind of the Lord is especially useful against spiritual strongman who stands in the way of miracles. The whirlwind of the Lord shall sweep him off his feet and utterly destroy him.
4. Furthermore, the whirlwind can be used to overthrow all those who attempt to put the saints in bondage.
Wherever God sends His whirlwind, great and terrible things happen. May the whirlwind of the Lord fight for you and deliver you in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINTS
1. You witches and wizards in my father’s house be swept away by the whirlwind of the Lord in Jesus mighty name of Jesus.
2. Let the whirlwind of the lord cause blindness in the evil eyes monitoring my life in Jesus’ name.
3. Whirlwind of the Lord! Scatter every satanic gathering against my breakthrough in Jesus’ name.
4. Whirlwind of the Lord, blow destruction into the camp of my enemies in Jesus’ name.
5. I send every satanic weapon with the Whirlwind of the Lord in Jesus’ name.
6. Whirlwind of the Lord, destroy every satanic altar constructed against me in Jesus’ name.
7. I direct the whirlwind of the Lord against all satanic priests manipulating my destiny in Jesus’ name.
8. Whirlwind of the Lord, submerge the enemies of my destiny in the Red Sea in Jesus’ name.
9. I come directly against all those who attempt to put the saints in bondage with the whirlwind of the Lord in Jesus’ name.
10. The whirlwind of the Lord, scatter the activities and destroy the effect and purpose of spiritual strongman who stands in the way of my miracles in Jesus’ name.

THE DESCENDING BLOWING OF GOD’S ARM

Text: Isaiah 30:30
And the lord shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation OF his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.

DEFINITION
The descending blow of God’s arm is best explained using the image of boxers fighting in a ring. A boxer soon begins to overpower the opponent and, as the opponent staggers, he gives him a heavy, downward punch that knocks him down and out. That is a descending blow. When it comes down, it knocks the opponent to the ground.
The descending blow we are talking about here is not from the hand/arm of an ordinary boxer, but it the descending blow of God’s arm (arm Almighty, Omnipotent one)

CONTEXT
As the people of God sing and praise the Lord, the prophet is saying that God will show the descent of His mighty arm upon the enemies of Israel. God’s mighty hand will descend in:
? Devouring flames
? Clouds bursts
? Thunderstorms
? Huge hailstones
These will knock down and utterly destroy the enemies

RELEVANCE
The descending blow of God’s arm can be called down upon:
1. Those who oppose the gospel. This weapon is especially useful against those who use violence (i.e religious fanatics)
2. All anti-Christ spirits who attack churches spiritually. These demonic spirits can be overpowered with the descending blow of God’s arm.
3. Individuals who attack Christians. You can fight against those who attack preachers, Christian workers, etc, using the descending blow of God’s arm.
4. All evil spirits/powers that manifest violently against the believer. These demons or powers seek to maim or destroy. You should not allow them.
5. Human agents of evil powers ( e.g witches, wizards, etc)

PRAYER POINTS
1. Every stubborn pursuer of my life and family is paralyzed by the descending blow of God’s arm in Jesus’ name.
2. Every satanic agent working against my home, receive the descending blow of God’s arm in the name of Jesus.
3. I bulldoze every satanic gathering against my family by the descending blow of God’s arm in Jesus’ name.
4. Every power attacking ministers of God in this city, be scattered by the descending blow of God’s arm in the name of Jesus.
5. All satanic agents working against the gospel of Christ in this country receive the descending blow of God’s arm in Jesus’ name.
6. All evil spirits and powers that manifest violently against the believers are paralyzed in the name of Jesus.
7. Every agent stirring up communal clashes in this country, be scattered by the descending blow of God’s arm in Jesus’ name.
8. God, arise with your descending blow against all those who champion communal clashes and refuse to desist in Jesus’ name.
9. Heavenly father, let your descending blow come down upon individuals or groups who attack Christians, preachers, missionaries, etc, in Jesus’ name.
10. I come against all anti-Christ religions fanatics with the descending blow of God’s arm in Jesus’ name.
